Welcome to Surrey Park Early Learning Centre Inc.

Established in 1986, we are a not-for-profit, community centre that provides quality care and education for tamariki in Murihiku, empowering them to become confident, lifelong learners.

Here at Surrey Park Early Learning Centre Inc, we believe that by working in partnership with whānau, our kaiako can support tamariki to establish positive foundations for future successes.  

We understand that choosing an Early Learning Centre for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make at this stage of your child’s life which is why we invite you to schedule a visit to come and see the centre in action.

Both my children have gone there from 18 months old,my son is about to start school and it will be a sad end of a era,staff and rooms are fantastic,great activities and great to have a male teacher in the pre-school room.Mike is great with the kids and funny too but all the staff have been helpful,friendly and will be sad to say goodbye too.

Since enrolling out oldest daughter at SPELC 4 years ago we have never looked back. From the day we came to visit we've experienced nothing but friendliness and care . SPELC feels like an extension of our home for us as parents and our girls, the staff are approachable and accommodating and even during challenging times through COVID, this service hasn't waivered. All four of my children have joined the SPELC family and I wouldn't have it any other way. At SPELC you and your whanau are welcomed in and instantly become part of the family. All the teachers genuinely care about my tamariki, taking the time to get to know each of them and doing everything they can to not only make each child feel comfortable and cared for, but also design an education plan suited to how each of my tamariki can grow and develop. So many opportunities are offered: walks, community events like Polyfest, activities such as waterplay, music and crafts and heaps of outdoor play. My tamariki love SPELC, they have bonded with all their teachers and always smile when we arrive, even years after and the oldest have moved onto school. Thank you SPELC!
